Bachelor of Science (Exercise & Health Science)/ Bachelor of Science (Exercise Rehabilitation)

 

Geraldine studied at the University of Western Australia to become an Accredited Exercise Physiologist. She is a member of ESSA and has been practicing in the Workcover, Medicare and DVA system for the past 4 years.  Geraldine has well developed skills in prescribing and managing patients with injuries and chronic diseases which range from diabetes to post- surgery rehabilitation. She is very good at building rapport with patients and ensuring a high level of communication is delivered to all parties for transparent and comprehensive exercise rehabilitation. 

 

Geraldine is an athlete as a part of the Speed City Sprinter squad and has a special interest in sport specific exercise rehabilitation. She has assisted with transitioning patients from physiotherapy to exercise rehabilitation before they progress to a performance based coaching program. Geraldine also has a special interest in Pilates and how the principles of this practice (increasing core strength, flexibility and posture) can alleviate musculoskeletal symptoms including lower back, neck and shoulder pain. Geraldine is a very energetic and friendly person who embraces all opportunities that come her way.
